Pasadena Playhouse, the state theater of California, is honoring the work and impact of the late, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim with a six-month celebration during its 2022-2023 season. Pentagram has designed a campaign for the series of performances that builds on the identity it previously created for the institution.

The Sondheim posters, animations, and other promotional materials use a mix of found imagery, montages and photo-illustration. The work takes heavy inspiration from Tadanori Yokoo, a Japanese graphic designer know for his psychedelic pastiche style of collage.
